Chelsea winger Willian will be a free agent at the end of the season if his contract isn’t sorted out.
The Brazilian’s contract talks have hit a deadlock with Chelsea as he’s keen on a three-year deal while the club are only offering a two year deal.
Reports are now lining up Willian with a move to Chelsea rivals Arsenal, and his agent was pictured with Arsenal chiefs Raul Sanllehi and Edu amid talks of an exit from the club as his contract is due at the end of the season.
Willian is keen to remain in London because of his family and his wife posted a video on social media saying that their time is ending, with hints taken from the fact that the couple’s daughters were dressed in red, while Willian has been linked with a move across London to Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Willian is reluctant to be drawn on such speculation, but has spoken of his desire to remain at the club.
Willian recently told ESPN Brasil when asked about his situation: “We really like London, I have said it many times.
“It is a city where my family and I love to live. I don’t know why she [his wife] published this post, but the contract situation really isn’t easy.
“Chelsea offered me two years, I asked for three years and everything stopped there.”
