In-form Englishman will not leave Chelsea again when he returns from loan

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has allegedly assured Ross Barkley that he has a future at Stamford Bridge.

The 26-year-old star was allowed to leave Stamford Bridge on loan during the summer, with the midfielder dropping down the pecking order after an active transfer window for the Blues.

Barkley has been in brilliant form for Aston Villa during the 2020-21 campaign, contributing three goals and one assist in eight games for Dean Smith’s side in all competitions.

According to 90min, the Englishman’s form at Villa Park has caught the attention of Frank, who has made it clear to the former Everton ace that his career with Chelsea is not over.

The report states that Barkley’s attitude since departing on loan has also impressed the Blues boss.

He has netted 11 times and registered 11 assists in 86 matches for his parent side since arriving from Everton in the winter transfer market of 2018.
