‘It is a Bird’ Its it a ‘Plane’ No its Chelsea’s second summer transfer signing as deal ‘close’ to completion

The Blues are ‘very close’ to completing their second summer signing, as reports have claimed that are all set to sign Max Bird. Chelsea have been in the transfer headlines alot over the last few months and there has been alot, AND WE MEAN ALOT, of players linked with a move to Stamford bridge.

Chelsea fans want to see big players arrive, they want to see players arrive that will make an immediate impact on the side and they want to see players arrive that will help them challenge for that Premier League title.

The Blues have already captured Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech for an initial £37million, and he will officially arrive at the club on July 1st, when the summer window gets into full effect.

Now Website Todofichajes claim Chelsea are close to ‘finalising’ a deal for Derby midfielder Max Bird, who was given his Championship debut by Frank Lampard in December 2018.

The report claims Chelsea will pay £4.7million for the talented 19-year-old after manager Lampard ‘requested’ his services at Stamford Bridge, as he seeks to continue the trend of exciting young players. Lampard already has some of the best talents in the game at Stamford Bridge, there is no doubt about that, and as he builds for the future, needs players he can trust and mould into the perfect Chelsea player.

Now look, Bird is a very exciting player and for the money that is being talked about, it will not effect the transfer kitty too much in the summer, but he is not the player that will send a statement to the Premier League.

Chelsea fc need world class, top-level players that d send statements, that do improve the side immediately and do get the fans excited, Bird may be that player one day, but he is not that player yet. But as we said, it is not alot of money and if the Blues do sign him up, we are sure that he will be very welcome at the Bridge.
