Just In: Chelsea send scouts to watch Brazilian international left back

There seems to be one clear position that Chelsea are looking to strengthen in the summer, with certain players futures being up in the air.

Currently, Frank Lampard largely prefers to use right footed Cesar Azpilicueta in the left back position, ahead of natural left sided players Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri, who’s Chelsea futures are both in doubt.

Chelsea will surely be looking at left back targets to bring in at the end of the season with this in mind.

One player who has been continuously linked with a potential move to Chelsea is Porto’s 27-year old left back, Alex Telles.

The Brazilian international was watched by Chelsea scouts once again on Saturday evening when his side took on Benfica, according to Portuguese publication O Jogo (Cited by Sport Witness).

Telles would be a perfect option for Chelsea, bringing experience and all the top qualities of a modern day full back.
