Just In: Frank Lampard adds three Chelsea youngsters to Champions League squad

According to Football London, Frank Lampard has added three more Chelsea youngsters to his 2020/21 Champions League squad.

Goalkeeper Karlo Ziger, left-back Ian Maatsen and versatile defender and midfielder Henry Lawrence have all been place on ‘List B’.

Uefa have decided this season to allow five substitutions per match, meaning they can name 23 players per matchday squad, with 12 substitutes.

Adding the youngsters in to their squad will allow Lampard to flesh out his squad and cover for matches over the course of the season.

With the transfer windows across Europe closed on Monday, the competing clubs have submitted their ‘List A’ on Tuesday.

This was made up of up to 25 players with a minimum of eight locally-trained players, with four of them having to come through the club of ages between 15 and 21.

Andreas Christensen (club-trained), Jorginho, Thiago Silva, N’Golo Kante, Tammy Abraham (club-trained), Christian Pulisic, Timo Werner, Willy Caballero, Fikayo Tomori (club-trained), Kurt Zouma, Edouard Mendy, Mateo Kovacic, Olivier Giroud, Ben Chilwell (association-trained ), Hakim Ziyech, Cesar Azpilicueta, Kai Havertz, Emerson Palmieri.

LIST B: Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Billy Gilmour, Reece James, Karlo Ziger, Ian Maatsen, Henry Lawrence.
