Just In: Marina Granovskaia make final decision on £100 million defender transfer

According to Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol, the Blues won’t make a move for Koulibaly this summer because of Napoli’s transfer demands.

“What I’m being told is that Napoli are prepared to sell him this summer,” Solhekol said on Sky Sports News. “He’s one of the most sought after central defenders in world football.

“We know clubs like Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United are looking for a centre-back this summer. “I think it would be difficult for him to come to England. One of the issues is the valuation.

“The Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, is a notoriously difficult man to negotiate with. He always wants top dollar for his players. “I think he will be looking for about £100m for Koulibaly and he’s going to be 29.

“Will a club like Manchester City or Chelsea or Manchester United really want to sign a 29-year-old defender who doesn’t have much resale value? “I think it’s much more likely that he will end up at PSG in the summer.

“But he is a player to look out for in the summer transfer window.”

“They’re willing to double his wages to around £200,000 a week.
