Kenedy set to leave Chelsea on a permanent deal

According to Goal, Chelsea winger Kenedy is looking for a possibility of a permanent Stamford Bridge exit.

The Brazilian had a very active role in the pre-season, playing 282 minutes throughout 7 games. But when it came to official games, Kenedy was dropped even from the bench for the Leicester game to make way for Willian.

Besides, Kenedy has to compete with the likes of Christian Pulisic, Pedro and Callum Hudson-Odoi who has just returned to training with the first team.

The transfer window is still open in the majority of the European countries, and the 23-year-old would allegedly like to secure either a permanent transfer or a loan move.

However, he does not want to extend his deal with Chelsea in the latter case, which remains the club’s preferred option given that his current contract expires next summer.

Before the transfer window was closed in England, Kenedy was reportedly close to joining Reading, only for the Royals to reconsider and opt for Liverpool’s Ovie Ejaria.
