Kepa explains why he joined Chelsea

The Blues’ goalkeeper stresses he doesn’t care about the record £72m price-tag whatsoever
Arrizabalaga claims he didn’t join Real Madrid last winter because that was not the right decision
However, coming to Stamford Bridge in summer was definitely the one and he’s happy, the 24-year-old admits
Kepa said, as quoted by the Daily Mail: “It’s a price and I don’t really have to focus on it too much. I just have to concentrate on my own priorities, which are to keep working hard and helping the team and keep on winning games.

“My contract had finished last season so as of the 1st of January, I was in the position where I could negotiate with any club. It’s a well-known fact that conversations were had with a few different clubs and I came to the decision that the best thing to do at that time was to stay at Athletic.

“And that’s what I did, and during the summer, Chelsea showed strong interest in me which meant that I’m here today. The transfer window is what it is. In the end, everything came together for me to sign here, it’s true that it’s a very high fee but I don’t think about that, more importantly than that, I’m happy, and I’m happy to be here.”
