Lampard finally reveals whether Kepa will leave Chelsea this summer or not

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has lost his place in the starting XI to Willy Caballero and according to various reports, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard wants a replacement for the Spaniard.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard insists Arrizabalaga has a future at Chelsea despite losing his place in the starting XI to Caballero. Asked whether Kepa has a future at Chelsea, Lampard said: “Yes. Every player here is in control of their destiny in terms of how they play and how they train.

“This is Chelsea and we’re trying to close the gap to the top. There’s nobody who can be relaxed or loose, we’re pushing every day.

“Of course in the summer we look at the group as a whole but we’re not looking beyond the game tomorrow night.”

Lampard also revealed Kepa could be in goal against Liverpool. “He’s been professional, as expected,” Lampard added.

“He’s trained well and he’s kept his head down, supported the team. I say the same every week because I get asked this every week, but he’s been good.”

Kepa has not played for Chelsea since January 21 when the Blues drew 2-2 with Arsenal.
