“Let him finish this season”, he’ll come to Chelsea- club chief ‘approves’ player’s move to Chelsea

Chelsea are keen on signing the 21-year-old German star, but Leverkusen are stiff as regards selling the highly rated German.

However, Bayer Sporting director Rudi Voller has warned Chelsea, that the Blues won’t be given any discount despite the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on football’s economy.

Asked if the club had already agreed to sell the 21-year-old, Voller told Gazzetta dello Sport: “No, but with his talent, it means he’s on the list of all the best clubs.

“He will have to finish the Europa League with us before he can leave”

“We know of the interest of a couple of clubs, especially Chelsea, but for us, the situation is quite simple; he has a two-year contract, if anyone wants him on our terms, fine, otherwise he stays here another year and we are happy.

“It won’t be easy, but for an artist like him there is no Covid discount.”
