Liverpool ‘Key player’ to miss Premier League clash against Chelsea

Ahead of Sunday Premier League clash against Liverpool Jurgen Klopp will only be without one player for his side’s visit to Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The Reds will be without long-term absentee Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for the game against Chelsea on Sunday.

Liverpool summer signing Kostas Tsimikas has returned to training after reportedly testing positive for coronavirus, while Xherdan Shaqiri has also recently returned to training.

The match may come too soon for Thiago Alcantara who is set to join Liverpool from Bayern Munich, depending on whether he signs on time or not.

Chelsea vs Liverpool is scheduled for a 4.30pm BST kick-off on Sunday, September 20. The match will be played behind closed doors at Stamford Bridge with no fans due to be present due to government guidelines regarding coronavirus.

Both teams won their respective opening day fixtures, with Chelsea beating Brighton 3-1, while Liverpool edged past newly-promoted Leeds 4-3 in a thrilling affair.
