Luis Suarez names Abraham as one of his possible successors at Barcelona

Barcelona are reportedly in search for a long-term replacement for 32 year old striker Luis Suarez.

Suarez has named Tammy Abraham as his possible successors after revealing he closely follows the young Chelsea striker. “There are many young strikers who are playing very well this season,” Suarez told OneFootball.

“Personally, I have [a] certain number of young and old strikers that I like watching because of their skills. For example, I like Abraham, Chelsea’s No9. In my opinion, he is an incredible striker with good finishing and who moves incredibly despite his youth.

“Another one is Maxi Gomez and not only because he is from Uruguay, but also because he has a lot of characteristics and skills that big teams are looking for in a striker. Obviously, Lautaro Martínez is playing at high level this season too.”

Abraham has scored 11 goals for Chelsea this Chelsea with 10 of those coming in the Premier League.

Abraham suffered an injury during Chelsea’s Champions League draw with Valencia on Wednesday and will miss Saturday’s Premier League clash against West Ham.

“He’s got some pain so won’t be involved tomorrow and we’ll see by Monday,” Lampard said on Friday.
