Marina blocked Lampard from signing 26 goals, 14 assist star player in January

The Chelsea board reportedly refused to sign a player approved by Chelsea boss Frank Lampard in January.

According to The Athletic, Lampard wanted to sign Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser in January but the Chelsea board refused to submit an offer for the winger.

Lampard approved an offer but when it came to making their move the Stamford Bridge hierarchy opted against making one.

The 26 year old winger contributed 14 assists for Bournemouth last season, only behind former Chelsea winger Eden Hazard who provided 15 assists for the Blues last season before moving to Real Madrid.

The Scotland international will be a free agent this summer when his Bournemouth contract expires.
