Maurizio Sarri gives injury update ahead of Leicester City clash 2 players out

Chelsea face The Foxes at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Alvaro Morata and Andreas Christensen reportedly won’t take part in the upcoming game.

The rest of the squad, including Eden Hazard who’s completely recovered, are fit enough to help the team to get three points.
Chelsea meet Leicester City in the Premier League Matchday 18 at Stamford Bridge as The Blues will try to reduce the gap between them and the league leaders Liverpool.

Maurizio Sarri’s side are currently eight points behind the first place. However, the calendar shows the upcoming fixtures are a good opportunity for our lads to make up leeway.

Maurizio Sarri has recently provided an injury update: “We have a little problem with Christensen. A little injury to his hamstring. The doctor told me it’s not very serious but he needs to rest for about one more week, I think.

We miss him for a couple of matches.” The Dane spent 81 minutes on the pitch against Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals but was subbed off due to the injury.

According to the Italian, the rest of the squad are fit enough to take part in the clash with The Foxes. Eden Hazard who suffered a knock against Brighton (2-1) was left on the bench before The Cherries. However, as the game was tense Maurizio Sarri decided to sub the Belgian on. Eventually, that proved to be the right thing as it was our no.10 who scored the winning goal against Eddie Howe’s side.
