Maurizio Sarri set to stay at Chelsea only on ONE condition

The Italian manager is reportedly meeting the club director Granovskaia in a few days.

He needs full backing concerning his tactical approach and man-management methods.

Otherwise, he might agree to a move to Juventus.
According to the reputable newspaper The Times, Maurizio Sarri is keen on remaining in charge of Chelsea under one condition – if the club hierarchy backs him.

It is the latest development in a story of the Italian manager’s complicated relationships with his bosses and the club’s fans.

Sarri will reportedly meet Marina Granovskaia, the club director, in a few days and ask for assurances from her that Chelsea are ready to support his tactical approach as well as man-management methods, however severe criticism of the supporters may be.

Publicly, Sarri confessed his love for the club and the league before and after the triumphant Europa League final against Arsenal. Despite that, rumours of him interested in the vacancy at Juventus refuse to die.

A week ago, La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Maurizio Sarri and his agent had a ‘top-secret face-to-face meeting’ with the Juventus chief Fabio Paratici to discuss the potential managerial appointment.

Whatever the situation is, Sarri’s stock is rising after the victory over Arsenal. The manager himself seems more confident that he can remain at Chelsea – if he wishes so.
