Midfielder officially tells Chelsea he wants summer transfer deal wrapped up!

Chelsea loaned midfielder Mario Pasalic has opened up and admitted that he wants to wrapped up and sign for Atalanta to activate the buy-out clause in his contract

However, Pasalic moved to Stamford Bridge in 2014 from Hajduk Split after impressing the Blues scouts with some of his performances, but has yet to make a single appearance for the club having spent much of his time out on-loan to the likes of Elche, Monaco, Milan and Spartak Moscow.

The 25-year-old joined Atalanta on an initial season-long loan in 2018 and helped Gian Piero Gasperini’s side to qualify for this season’s Champions League before agreeing to move to Lombardy for a second season last summer having signed a new contract until 2022.

But having been settled with the Italians for the last few seasons, he has opened up and announced that he is hoping that the buy-out clause is activated by Atalanta and he seals a permanent move to Seria A at the end of the season, he told Dalmatinski Portal(via Google Translate): “I’ve been on loan for five or six years. I would love to finally settle my status. I’m great at Atalanta, this is the first club where I stayed for the second year in a row.

“We will see in the summer what will be. They have the right of redemption.

“It’s their decision [to exercise the €15m clause or not], so far I don’t know more than that. Every time I say it’s great for me here, I’d love to stay.”

We have already agreed a €40m (£33.6m) deal, potentially rising to €44m, with Ajax for the Morocco midfielder Hakim Ziyech, as the star will complete his transfer on 1 July, and if Atalanta do meet the buy-out clause of Pasalic, they will not stop his exit from the club.
