Milan and Chelsea on contract talks over creative midfielder, Frenchman set to leave Chelsea, as La Liga player says Tuchel is favourite coach,

Hakan Calhanoglu’s current contract at AC Milan expires this summer and there is no clarity if he will continue at the San Siro next season.

The midfielder’s contract situation has allowed the likes of Chelsea and other sides to swoop in. Last week, Sky Italia reported the west Londoners have taken first steps to make an attempt to land the 27-year-old.

TuttoMercatoWeb provides the latest development on the talks for the star’s renewal and the clubs closely watching the contract discussions with the Serie A side.

It’s stated the renewal issue remains stalled because the two sides have failed to reach an agreement. The report also states there are no signs in this direction, suggesting an agreement for a fresh deal is unlikely to be reached.

The Turkey playmaker is demanding a salary of €4.5 million, while I Rossoneri continue not to deviate from their offer of €4 million per year.

Chelsea have informed themselves of Hakan’s situation in recent weeks and Juventus in the last few days. TMW makes it clear no talks started, but an expression of interest is shown by these two parties.

The Blues and the Old lady make themselves heard, while half a million separates Hakan from signing a new contract with his side.

Napoli reluctant to pay €18m for Chelsea 26-year-old midfielder

What seemed a great deal early on in the year has apparently turned into a bit of a catastrophe over in Naples.

Tiemoue Bakayoko, who was not part of Frank Lampard’s plans at the start of the season, was sent to Gennaro Gattuso’s Napoli on loan late on in the market with no option to buy.

Quickly, and after a few good early displays, talk of a gentleman’s agreement between the two sides started to appear, with a sum of €18 million being mentioned.

Since then, however, the star’s form has somewhat dipped, and talk of him remaining in the south of Italy has not reappeared all that much.

Il Roma, relayed by CalcioNapoli24, do that, though, explaining that the Blues have asked for €18 million in order for Napoli to make the move permanent.

It’s said that is a figure Partenopei’s chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis will never accept, and while the two sides could sit at a table and discuss another figure, the problem of what Tiemoue wants remains.

The Frenchman allegedly absolutely wants to be a key part of the project, but if he has to stay at watch German star Demme play, he’ll go elsewhere to finally find some peace.

CHELSEA have been handed a huge transfer boost after Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele named Thomas Tuchel as his favourite coach.

The French winger has failed to light up LaLiga as many expected following a £97million move from Borussia Dortmund in 2017, as he has been constantly injured and in and out of that Barcelona side.

That has led to alot of speculation in the media that Barcelona may look to offload the Frenchman in the coming transfer window, especially as there are many reports that they need to pay off a £900 million debt.

And it appears Dembele would be keen to link up once again with his former Dortmund boss Tuchel, who has been tipped to make a transfer move for the speedy winger when the transfer window opens up in just a few months time.

Speaking to BeIn Sports, the 23-cap France international said: “Thomas Tuchel is my favourite coach.

“Under him I played more on the right side before I was moved to ten or in the middle.

“If he had stayed, it would have been very difficult to leave Dortmund. I would probably not have done it.”

Dembele has also confirmed he is yet to start discussing a new contract with Barcelona.

His current deal expires next summer.

Dembele said: “My future? I still have a year of contract left. There hasn’t been a discussion with the club yet, I’m happy, and I feel good.

“Then there is the new president who has arrived and whom I do not know too well, but he is very close to the players. We’ll see how it goes.”
