New stopper deal agreed? as Chelsea urged to replace Kepa this summer

Frank Lampard has been urged to bring in a new goalkeeper because Kepa Arrizabalaga is “not getting better.”

Kepa is the world most expensive stopper after we decided to fork out for his services once Thibaut Courtois finally got his move to Real Madrid just a couple of transfer windows ago.

It has been claimed that there is an agreement in place for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir to come in this summer, in a deal that could cost the club around the £29 million mark.

We have been urged to complete a deal for a new stopper this summer, Andy Townsend told Premier League Productions: “I actually think here even though there’s a double deflection, I’m still looking at the goalie there.

“Can’t you have done something a little better than that?

“Even if you punch this because you’re not sure you might have just knocked it to one side rather than just flapping it straight down in front of [David] McGoldrick.

“I don’t know, the goalkeeper’s a big talking point and clearly is going to be something they’ve got to consider. “They’ve invested a lot of money in him but he’s not getting better.”

Kepa is a very young stopper, but he has not looked that impressive this season, and we are starting to get worried that he is not the long-term solution to Thibaut Courtois?
