Chelsea forward Pedro has signed a new contract.
The Spaniard’s current deal expires at the end of the season but he has penned a one-year extension.
Pedro, 31, has been a regular in pre-season under new boss Maurizio Sarri and scored against Perth Glory and Inter Milan.
“It’s important for me to continue with Chelsea, I am comfortable here and want to win new titles and trophies,” Pedro said.
“I am really happy here in this club with my teammates, the supporters and this club.”
Pedro is likely to be involved when Chelsea take on Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday.
Sarri remains without Eden Hazard and Willian at Wembley following their World Cup involvement.
One player who is set to be involved is youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The 17-year-old has impressed in pre-season and was excellent against Arsenal earlier this week.
And Sarri is set to keep Hudson-Odoi in his first-team for the upcoming campaign.
“He is a very young player but he will stay with us for all of this season,” Sarri said.
“We have to wait but in the future he will be a very, very strong player.”
