OFFICIAL: Leganes Signs Kenneth Omeruo on a Permanently deal

Kenneth Omeruo has completed his permanent move to Leganes, the Chelsea official website has announced.

The Nigerian centre-back will return to the club where he was loaned out to last season. He made 31 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga side.

Earlier, Spanish newspaper AS has revealed that Chelsea have agreed to accept €5m for Omeruo who has signed a five-year contract.

The move has been predetermined by the player’s desire to play at Leganes and nowhere else.

“Yes, Leganes is a team that I want to be part of because the manager trusts me soo much and wants to give me a lot of opportunities,” said the Nigeria international as cited by Vanguard.

Prior to that, Omeruo spent several seasons at other clubs while still being a Chelsea player:

2014–2015: Middlesbrough
2015–2016: Kasımpaşa
2016–2017: Alanyaspor
2017–2018: Kasımpaşa
“We would like to thank Kenneth for his service and wish him all the best for the future,” read the club’s statement.
