Player ‘wants’ to seal Chelsea move as fresh bid made

Chelsea are the most active club in the transfer window this summer and have already secured five potential signings, but still hungry of more.

So far, the Blues have added five new players to their ranks and spent around £130million.

Despite that, the Stamford Bridge outfit are still hungry to bolster their options even further, with Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz on the brink of sealing a move to England.

Though Havertz is going to set Chelsea back around £90million, they are still keen to bolster other areas of the team, particularly in goal.

Chelsea submit fresh Mendy bid
The Blues, who will face Brighton & Hove Albion on the opening day of the new Premier League season, have launched a fresh bid to sign the Rennes shot-stopper.

After seeing an opening offer of £11million turned down for Mendy, the Blues have now lodged an improved bid of £18million to sign the 28-year-old.

That is according to Goal France, who also report that Rennes are determined to keep hold of Mendy this summer after a sequence of impressive performances last season.
