Player’s Agent “expecting to speak with Chelsea in January” ahead of possible Stamford Bridge move
Ahead of January transfer window David Alaba has hinted his player would like a move to Stamford Bridge and talks will be held as soon as possible
Those are the words of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on his latest Podcast, Here We Go.
He was of course talking about Chelsea’s rumoured transfer target of the moment, David Alaba.
What made this episode even more interesting was that Romano had Christian Falk on the show, the German reporter from BILD who first put the news out there of Alaba’s possible move to Chelsea.
Falk spoke in detail about the situation, and things are far from cut and dry. To sum it up, there have been no sign of any new contract talks between David Alaba and Bayern Munich.
His club already made an offer, which Alaba took too long to answer, so now there is no offer anymore.
This means he becomes a free agent in the summer, and Chelsea are one of many clubs who are interested. But it is a case of whoever can afford his wages, and according to Falk, this puts Chelsea ahead of the rest.
“Alaba’s Agent is expecting to speak with Chelsea in January regarding a move and hoping to get a deal with them.” confirmed Falk.
It is already bubbling up to be quite a transfer saga.
