Chelsea striker Jude Soonsup-Bell scored four goals in a match for the second time in three weeks for the Under 18s yesterday.
The 16-year-old had bagged four in the 8-1 win over Leicester in an Under 18 Premier League game at the start of the month, but he equalled that feat when he starred during another 8-1 victory in the FA Youth Cup against Barnsley.
It is now 12 goals in his last four appearances for Soonsup-Bell and supporters on Twitter are getting rather excited about his potential:
It’s probably best to err on the side of caution when it comes to youth players. Not all make it to senior level and the ones that do reach the first team don’t all turn out like Reece James or Mason Mount.
Even so, Soonsup-Bell looks like a very promising talent. One of his goals versus Barnsley was extremely impressive indeed. He dribbled around a number of defenders in the box before backheeling the ball into the net. Remember the name.
