Real madrid set asking price for Chelsea transfer target Isco

The Blues could be set for a busy end to the January transfer window.

The Blues’ need for reinforcements was highlighted by the two recent results against Newcastle and Arsenal, where Frank Lampard’s side struggled to break their opponents down.

With additional creativity and guile needed in forward areas, one name that has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge is Real Madrid midfielder Isco, who is reportedly surplus to requirements at the Bernabeu. Lampard has previously spoken about Chelsea’s need to replace Eden Hazard’s goals and creativity, so will the Blues offer Isco a route to reignite his career?

According to The Express last month, Real Madrid offered Chelsea the chance to sign Isco in a £44million deal.

The Spanish giants are reportedly trying to offload the Spanish midfielder to make way for a £50m move for Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen in January.

However, Isco ageEl Desmarque Madrid have recently reported that Chelsea are ‘doing everything’ to try and sign Isco before the end of January.

The Blues have reportedly spoken the midfielder’s agent about the possibility of a move to west London, with a €55 million (£47 million) bid mooted. It is also claimed that Chelsea would utilise Isco in front of N’Golo Kante in the midfield.
