REPORT: Bayern Munich makes transfer decision on David Alaba transfer to Chelsea

Frank Lampard is keen on signing a left-back this summer as he hasn’t been convinced by the options he has at the club.

Emerson Palmieri seems to be on his way out of the club after failing to impress Lampard while Marcos Alonso, who is now back as first choice, hasn’t also convinced Lampard.

Lampard’s first choice left-back target is Leicester City star Ben Chilwell but due to his enormous price tag, the Chelsea boss is looking at other options.

Bayern Munich left-back is being monitored by Chelsea boss. The Blues believe the world class left-back can be gotten for a lesser fee with his Bayern Munich contract to expire in the summer of 2021.

Bayern Munich have now made a decision on Alaba’s future amid interest from Chelsea.

According to The Athletic, Bayern consider Alaba as so important that they would rather lose the Austrian for nothing when his contract expires in 2021 than sell him now.

This will be a huge blow to Chelsea’s plan of signing the left-back but we have other left-backs on our list like Alex Telles and Nicholas Tagliafico that can be signed for a lesser fee than the amount Leicester City are requesting for Chilwell.
