According to Daily Express, Chelsea are confident of completing a deal for Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes.
Previous reports had claimed Lille has accepted a £30 million bid from Chelsea for the Brazilian defender.
The Ligue 1 club also reportedly accepted bids from Everton for the 22 year old centre-back and two offers from Italy.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is on the hunt for a left-footed central defender to strengthen his options at the back and the 22 year old Brazilian defender fits the bill.
Gabriel, who has yet to feature for Brazil at senior international level, had brief loan spells at Troyes and Dinamo Zagreb before breaking into Lille’s first team.
He made 34 appearances in all competitions this season before the coronavirus pandemic brought professional football to a halt and played twice against Chelsea in the Champions League group stage.
