REPORT: Chelsea duo lose young player award

According to reports, Chelsea duo Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount were both nominated for the inaugural Young Player of the Season award.

However, The duo were part of on an eight-man shortlist for the prize which goes to the best-performing player aged 23 or younger at the start of the season.

Unfortunately, they both lost the award, as it was given to Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold. Alexander-Arnold indeed had a wonderful season, and both Mount or Pulisic can’t complain of losing to him.

The Liverpool full-back had a successful season, after providing 13 assists, as the Reds won their first Premier League trophy in three decades.

Pulisic had a very good end to the season, as he was one of the league’s best players following the restart of the season. Although he wasn’t at his best at the start of last season. However, we can now look forward to a top performance from the American next season.

For Mason Mount, no Chelsea player made more Premier League appearances for us this season than 21-year-old Mount (37), who scored seven goals and registered five assists.
