Report: Chelsea given green light to sign 22-year-old England international

Manchester united goalkeeper Dean Henderson has reportedly opened up about his plans to his team-mates at loan club Sheffield United.

However, the England international has shone on loan with the Blades this campaign and looks like he could be a decent shout for the number one spot at Man United next campaign as de Gea struggles with a dip in form.

Meanwhile, Frank Lampard is desperately looking for a new ‘goalkeeper and Dean has been linked as a target for Chelsea ahead of the summer.

As for the footballer himself, he’s assured his Sheffield United team-mates that he plans to come back to Bramall Lane if he cannot establish himself as the first choice at Theater of Dreams.

This could be =excellent from the Red Devils point of view, with Henderson perhaps likely to benefit from one more campaign of playing regularly elsewhere, while De Gea also arguably deserves a bit more time before being axed after his great service to Man United down the years.

This is a blow for Blues, however, who could do with an upgrade on struggling goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, who recently lost his place at London club. The Spanish keeper has, however, got back into the team for the last two matches and looked much-improved with his assured displays in Blues wins over Liverpool and Everton.

More-so, Chelsea are heavily linked with Napoli centre-forward Dries Mertens, Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho, Real Madrid playmaker Isco, Aston Villa attacker Jack Grealish, Feyenoord midfielder Orkun Kokcu, Bournemouth centre-back Nathan Ake and Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell.
