REPORT: Chelsea step up interest in signing France international left back on free transfer

Chelsea have been linked with signing a new left back when the transfer window does reopen.

The main two names that have been linked by the majority of sources is Ben Chilwell from Leicester City, and Alex Telles from Porto.

However, new names continue to pop up, and Chelsea may well be exploring the most cheapest option available, PSG left back Layvin Kurzawa on a free transfer.

According to SPORT, Chelsea are one of the many teams interested in offering the France international a contract when his current deal in Paris ends in July.

The 27-year old has been a regular for PSG, and has made 13 appearances for his national side. Arsenal, Barcelona, Juventus, Milan, Napoli, and Inter have all ‘knocked on the door’ for his services, as he looks to reject a new contract at his current club.

It does look like this position is priority for Chelsea manager Frank Lampard in the summer.
