REPORT: Chelsea vs Bayern Munich Champions league second leg date Change again

The Premier League is planning on resuming football activities in June, and teams have already started training ahead of the season resumption as the league aims to bring an end to the 2019-20 season in July.

The Champions League has also been on halt as only half of the second round clashes have been concluded. Chelsea lost to Bayern Munich 3-0 at Stamford Bridge in the first leg meeting between the two sides, and the second leg might now be played in August.

Lyon also are set to face Juventus in the Round of 16 return leg, and Olympique Lyonnais president Jean-Michel Aulas has revealed UEFA’s plans on resuming the Champions League campaign.

Speaking to RTLFrance, Aulas stated that Lyon’s Champions League fixture against Juventus is set to take place on August 7, and he appears to be very unhappy about the situation as the French league has been cancelled.

“The match against Juventus is confirmed to take place August 7, in Turin and behind closed doors,” Aulas said.

“If our appeals do not succeed, it means that Lyon and Paris Saint-Germain are to be sent to be massacred by teams who will be prepared to play, unlike the others.”

Chelsea’s game against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena could also be set for the same date in a closed door stadium, as the Blues will be aiming to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat.
