REPORT: Dortmund want Chelsea youngster as Jadon Sancho replacement

The Blues did not sign anyone in January, but are keen to splash the cash in the summer.

Chelsea fans were left disappointed and livid when the Blues were unable to sign any new players in January. The club will welcome Hakim Ziyech to the club in the summer when the transfer window opens, having already agreed a deal with Ajax.

This is going to be one of the big transfer stories of the summer and where Jadon Sancho is going to end up. Manchester United are very interested, while Chelsea are also on the path to show interest in the 19-year-old.

Sancho has been fantastic this season, with 14 Bundesliga goals and another 15 assists, averaging 2.3 key passes per match. The England international is going to be hot property, but with that it means that the fee is going to be around the £100m mark.

Sancho is one of the hottest prospects on the market after contributing 30 goals and 38 assists in 78 appearances for Dortmund over the last two seasons. Therefore, Borussia Dortmund is already looking for a replacement if they are to allow Jadon Sancho leave this summer and have set their sights on Chelsea Charlie Webster.

The 16-year-old made his Under-18 Premier League debut for the Blues earlier this season, and has also been capped at international level by the England Under-16 and Under-17 sides. According to The Sun, Dortmund are keen to swoop for the midfielder in the hope that he blossoms into the next Jadon Sancho.

Sancho arrived in Germany from Manchester City in 2017, and the Englishman has since developed into one of the most sought-after players in Europe.

The 20-year-old’s future has been the subject of repeated speculation throughout the season, although the Bundesliga outfit are reportedly confident that the highly-rated winger will remain in Germany despite persistent links with Manchester United.
