REPORT: Juventus want Jorginho in swap-deal for top midfielder in summer

Jorginho has emerged as one of Juventus top summer targets, with Juve boss Maurizio Sarri keen on re-uniting with his former player. Chelsea are getting prepared for a Jorginho bid from Juventus, with news claiming the Italian giants have placed him on their summer wish-list.

Jorginho, who was signed by Maurizio Sarri in a £57million deal in July 2018, is reportedly wanted once again by his former boss. Sarri repeatedly claimed the 28-year-old was fundamental to his game-plan while at Chelsea but ended up departing to Italy to join Juve as head coach.

And now, reliable Italian journalist, Alfredo Pedulla, has claimed that Sarri would try to re-unite with Jorginho once more, with the pair very close friends even off the pitch.

As per the report, Juventus know a move for Chelsea’s midfield enforcer would be a tough one, considering how influential he has grown to be in the Blues ranks.

To that effect, the Bianconeri might tempt Chelsea to sell by offering midfielder Bernardeschi in a swap-deal that would see Jorginho go the other way.

Bernardeschi has not been at his best this season and the Italian side are now ready to move on from him.

The report concludes that Jorginho still holds Sarri in high regard and might find it appealing to join Juventus, leaving Chelsea to be the final piece of the puzzle.
