REPORT: Serie A club plotting tempting summer move for Ruben Loftus-Cheek

According to Il Messaggero newspaper via Daily Mail, Serie A club Lazio are plotting a move for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek this summer.

The Rome-based club want to strengthen ahead of a possible Champions League tilt next season and believe Loftus-Cheek will add quality to their squad.

Lazio are second in Serie A, one point behind leaders Juventus, while the Italian season remains shut down.

Loftus-Cheek has cruelly had to miss out of the youthful revolution at Chelsea this season under Frank Lampard, sitting on the sidelines after suffering the serious injury late last season.

Having recovered from a 12-month injury lay-off due to a ruptured achilles tendon, Lazio believe they can tempt Loftus-Cheek with regular game time he needs to return to his best.
