REVEALED: How Frank Lampard is helping future Chelsea managers

After losing star man Eden Hazard to Real Madrid, coupled with the supposedly lack of experience at the top level, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard was doomed to struggle in his first season as a Premier League manager with Chelsea.

However, Lampard has thus proven everyone wrong as he has led Chelsea to a top four position before the league was suspended because of the coronavirus outbreak.

Besides leading Chelsea to a top four position, Lampard’s team has been playing attractive football and he has also introduced a lot of academy players to the first team and has created a pathway for the Blues youngsters, which never existed before now.

Former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore has hailed the job Lampard is doing and even believes that future managers will benefit from it.

Collymore said in his column for The Mirror: “Lampard has managed everything spot-on in his first season at Stamford Bridge, the way they play, the way they want to promote youth.

“In everything he has done and said, he has put Chelsea forward as a team that won’t just be successful on his watch but under future managers as well.

“They will go on and play the kind of football the owner wants and win trophies, but Coutinho is not going to be the man who enables them to do that.”
