REVEALED: Lampard has a Kai Havertz problem that can win Chelsea the league

Among all Chelsea’s summer signings, Kai Havertz is notably the one who hasn’t reached his peak yet.

The likes of Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Edouard Mendy didn’t take too long to impress the Blues faithful. But with the £72m signing, it has been a case of gradual improvement.

The 21-year-old is still trying to get used to the Premier League, but has shown glimpses of his technical ability that made Chelsea spend over £70m on his signing.

However, there’s a huge Kai Havertz trait that can be a difference maker for Chelsea this season.

The 21-year-old German has a knack for playing better in the second half of the season. Just last season with Bayer Leverkusen, he was booed by Bayer Leverkusen supporters by Christmas time for a perceived lack of effort.

However, from January until the end of that season, he became the star man for Bayer, scoring goals and getting assists easily. The same scenario also played out two seasons ago as well.

This season is proving to be one that could go down the wire, and if it happens thus, we’d definitely need our best players on fire in the second half of the campaign, when the title challengers get separated from the title wannabes.
