REVEALED: The 2 ‘Incredible’ things Chelsea offered Werner which Liverpool can not

Chelsea are set to complete there second signing after agreeing deal with Timo Werner from RB Leipzig after activating the release clause of the 24 year old striker.

However, Premier League rivals Liverpool were also interested in signing the 24 year old German international but Liverpool fans will now watch the clinical striker wear the Blue shirt next season instead of Liverpool’s red.

Chelsea won the race to sign Werner after offering the German international two things Liverpool couldn’t offer him.

Chelsea offered Werner an unobstructed path into the team, something Liverpool couldn’t offer with the Reds already having Sadio Mane, Mo Salah and Roberto Firmino in attack.

Despite Werner’s desire to play under Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, the striker has no desire to spend time on the substitutes’ bench at his new club, and that would have been a genuine prospect at Liverpool, with Salah, Mane and Firmino becoming such a formidable attacking unit under Klopp.

With Willian, Pedro and Michy Batshuayi expected to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season and Lampard trying to rebuild a formidable Chelsea team, Werner knows he will be an important player at Chelsea, something Liverpool won’t offer him.

Chelsea also showed great intent in getting the striker, something Liverpool didn’t show him. The Blues showed intent by triggering his release clause at RB Leipzig and offering a lucrative contract.

Liverpool weren’t willing to pay £49 million for Werner and offer him a £200,000-a-week contract. They believed they have Sane, Salah and Firmino and didn’t see the need to pay that much for Werner. Liverpool’s loss is Chelsea’s gain.
