REVEALED: Why Lampard prefers to sign Aubameyang over Moussa Dembele

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Lyon’s Moussa Dembele.

Chelsea tried to sign Dembele during the January transfer window but Lyon was reluctant to let him leave halfway through the season while Aubameyang is expected to leave Arsenal at the end of the season after stalling on extending his contract with expires in 2021.

Dembele and Aubameyang are expected to be available at the end of the season but according to Bleacher Report, Lampard prefers a move for Aubameyang.

The report claims Lampard believes he would be able to secure the services of Aubameyang for a similar price that it would cost to bring Dembele from Lyon.

Lampard also prefers a move for Aubameyang because he believes the 30 year old striker is a tried and tested Premier League option with loads of experience at the highest level compared to 23 year old Dembele.

Lampard also believes Aubameyang could be instrumental in Chelsea’s bid to close the gap on Liverpool and Man City.

Aubameyang has scored 61 goals in 97 appearances for the Gunners across all competitions while Dembele has netted 42 times in 88 games for the Ligue 1 outfit across all competitions. Aubameyang or Dembele, which striker do you want at Chelsea?
