REVEALED: Why Lampard stops Chelsea from signing £115million World class player

According to the Transfer Window Podcast, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has told Marina Granovskaia to forget about signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

The winger could have cost Chelsea a whopping £115 million, which will be a record signing by a British club.

Lampard reportedly believes signing Sancho this summer would only add unnecessary pressure on himself and the squad.

Despite the expected departure of Willian and Pedro this summer, Lampard doesn’t see the need to spend big on Sancho especially after signing Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and with Timo Werner expected to join from RB Leipzig.

Lampard would rather the funds be used elsewhere to strengthen the squad where necessary.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund director, Michael Zorc, doesn’t appear impressed by Sancho’s behaviour in recent weeks.

Speaking to Bild about Sancho’s behaviour, the director said: “Jadon is not only an exceptional footballer who is noticeable on the pitch but now and then also outside of the pitch. “Sometimes it’s not easy for us.”
