Rudiger & Batshuayi to feature in Chelsea U23 game as the pair builds up fitness for Premier League
Antonio Rudiger and Michy Batshuayi will get some playing time today in the Premier League 2 game where Chelsea U23 squad will face Liverpool.
The German defender is building fitness after his long time on the sidelines with an injury. Last week Rudiger returned to training full time with the squad.
The defender said: ‘I know I need to be patient.
‘There is no need to rush anything because as we all know we have a long season to go.
I am happy because I am going to have some minutes with the Under-23s against Liverpool. I’m very pleased with that.’
Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi will also feature in the game, according to a report from the Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur.
