Sarri Send A Message To Chelsea Youngster Callum Hudson-odoi

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has urged Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi to be patient for more game time amid reports the 18-year-old is growing increasingly frustrated by a lack of regular opportunities.

Hudson-Odoi has 18 months remaining on his contract and is stalling on a new five-year deal amid interest from Germany and Spain.

Hudson-Odoi, who scored one and made one for Chelsea in the 4-0 victory over PAOK, is understood to believe he is ready for more Premier League minutes.

When asked if Hudson-Odoi will get more chances, Sarri said: “For tomorrow we have three 2000 in the 18. Maybe Odoi will be on the pitch, I don’t know at the moment. He is in the 18, Ampadu in in the 18, maybe on the pitch because of Cahill injury.

“For the Premier League, I don’t know. I don’t think in Manchester City, Manchester United, the other big teams there are 2000 with a lot of minutes. So it means in these clubs it is really very difficult. I hope in the future there will be a chance for Callum, for Ampadu. It is up to them I think.

“Odoi played in August, the Community Shield, played in two Europa League matches. Tomorrow maybe he is on the pitch so it is four opportunities.

“I think they have only to play very well in this opportunity. For the moment Odoi did it. Now I am looking forward to Ampadu, for me Ampadu is a very important player. The future for them is very important. They have to improve every day, the physical and tactical point of view. Technically they are very good.”
