Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante has opted to stay away from training due to fears for his health amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The players returned to training on Tuesday in preparation for the restart of the Premier League next month.
According to The Sun, Chelsea players were shocked at Kante’s decision to stay away from training after he turned up for the first day back on Tuesday.
Despite being an important player for the Blues, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is supportive of Kante’s decision.
Kante is also fully supported by Chelsea until he decides it is OK to return, even if that is next season.
