The one thing left for Chelsea to be title contenders revealed

After defeating Sheffield United by 4-1 on Saturday, EPL gain, Chelsea have been told that they should consider themselves as title contenders but before they can mount challenge against Liverpool and Man City, one thing needs to be done.

The clean sheet streak of the Blues team was broken as Sheffield United opened the game with a goal before Chelsea came from behind to secure a convincing win.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has concluded that Frank Lampard has “the quality” needed to mount a serious Premier League title challenge while emphasizing that N’Golo Kante is the “vital cog” for the Blues boss.

The Arsenal legend therefore, stated that the only thing needed to be done by Frank Lampard is to get the pieces in his team fixed up properly.

Ian Wright told Premier League Productions: “

“But like we said there’s a little bit of fitting the pieces together and I think the goalkeeper [Edouard Mendy], Thiago Silva, [Hakim] Ziyech coming in, [Kai] Havertz coming in, Werner coming in, I think those players and the quality and the standard of those players yes they should be [title challengers].

“But then now it’s about fitting the pieces together. “For me, playing Kante where he does is going to free up another vital cog in respect of the offensive side of things, because he was everywhere today.

“So once that’s all knitted together and they start to string a couple of wins together which they seem like they’re doing now, more clean sheets I’m sure will come because they’ll be very disappointed with that goal [against Sheffield United] because it was a poor goal to concede. “But they’ve got everything in the armoury to actually challenge, without a doubt.”

However, manager Frank Lampard is willing to remain humble despite his impressive performance of his team and was warned his players to be grounded.

Goals from Tammy Abraham and Ben Chilwell put the Blues in front at half-time before Thiago Silva and Timo Werner completed the win.
