Thierry Henry backs up Eden Hazard in the Ballon d’Or race this year

Thierry Henry said Ballon d’Or should be given out to the French player or Eden Hazard this year

It would be a ‘travesty’ otherwise, Monaco manager believes
Monaco manager said, as cited by the Spanish outlet Sport:

“It would be a travesty if a French player or Eden Hazard didn’t win it.”

Henry also pointed out that Eden Hazard was “by some distance” the best player at the World Cup in Russia.

The former Arsenal striker, who was also Belgium national team assistant at the World Cup added: “Maybe we’re biased, maybe, but it’d be very good for French football too.”

Hazard is as of equally high opinion of Henry – recently the Belgian said on Frenchman’s coaching ambitions:

“As a manager, he doesn’t have a lot of experience, but he will learn.

If he leaves the Belgium team we will be sad, but I think for him maybe it’s a good time to go. He wants to be a manager, so he will be a top manager, for sure.”
