“This game is too much for him” – Some Chelsea fans unhappy with one starter after first half-draw

Chelsea have made it to half time against Bayern and kept the score at 0-0.

It wasn’t an awful showing from the Blues, but they spent most of the half defending, and whenever they had the chance to break forward it seemed to be Ross Barkley whose efforts broke down the attack.

Fans on Twitter already had it in for the England midfielder, and his 45 minutes in the biggest game of the season so far haven’t endeared him any more.

They laid into him on Twitter, with one fan saying “this game is too much for him” – a brutal assessment of your first ever Champions League start.

He did win late free kick to earn Thiago a yellow, which earned him some credit.
