Chelsea should push Juventus very hard over Jorginho transfer in summer.
Jorginho to Juventus this summer, it would hardly rank among the most surprising transfers to have happened. However, Jorginho was Brought to Stamford Bridge by Maurizio Sarri when he joined Chelsea from Napoli in 2018, there is little doubt that the Juve manager holds him in high regard.
While Jorginho has recovered from an unhappy first season in west London and done well under Frank Lampard this term, a return to Serie A would be something of a homecoming for him while Juve, in all their dominance, offer the possibility of near-limitless silverware.
According to Sky Sports reporter Gianluca Di Marzio claims Juve want to include Miralem Pjanic in a swap deal for Jorginho. The 30-year-old was once one of the most acclaimed youngsters in world football. He has since established himself as Juve’s star playmaker but there are downsides to a swap deal including Pjanic as his production has declined over the last couple of seasons.
The Bosnian star, who is heading into his thirties having hit the milestone last month, was originally signed for around £25million in 2016 while Jorginho, who is still 28, set Chelsea back £50million two years ago.
Simply put, Pjanic is not the only Juve player Chelsea could ask for in exchange for Jorginho. It might take some serious negotiating, but here are three who might represent a better deal.
