Timo Werner Instagram activity hints could force Lampard to make £75m signing

Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Timo Werner ahead of the summer transfer window. But the Germany international’s activity on social media could suggest the Blues are also set to sign Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz.

The Blues have already signed Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, as well as agreeing a deal with RB Leipzig for Werner. Frank Lampard is also eyeing moves for Havertz.

Werner’s Instagram activity could suggest the German playmaker is on his way to Stamford Bridge. Since completing his move to Chelsea, Werner has followed three accounts: Chelsea’s official Instagram, Antonio Rudiger and Havertz.

Lampard was asked about a move for Havertz on Wednesday, however, the Blues boss remained coy.

“He’s a top player but we’re certainly not going to comment on players at other teams,” he said.
