UPDATE: James Rodriguez and four Everton players to miss Chelsea clash

The Blues will return to Premier League action on Saturday as they face Everton away from home.

Ahead of Chelsea clash, manager Carlo Ancelotti delivered some mixed injury news during his pre-match press conference on Friday.

Captain Seamus Coleman is back in training after missing the last three games with a thigh problem, but won’t feature against the west London outfit.

The same applies to Fabian Delph and James Rodriguez as Ancelotti confirmed a triple injury blow.

“Team news is that we have three players not available, one is [Seamus] Coleman,” Ancelotti told reporters.

“He has started to train with the team and is quite good, but I think that he will be available for the next game against Leicester on Wednesday.

“Delph suffered a injury against Burnley.”

“James is out, he had a little problem during the game against Burnley and was not able to train this week,” Ancelotti added. “I think he will start to train next week.

“But for this game [vs Chelsea] we don’t want to take a risk.”

With Lucas Digne and Jean-Philippe Gbamin long-term absentees, this means there are five Everton players Ancelotti will be without for the clash against the west London outfit.
