Christian Pulisic is almost back from the hamstring injury that saw him limp off in the FA Cup final. As it stands, it feels like there’s a great chance he plays against Southampton next weekend, having already been on the bench against Palace last week.
Some fans on Reddit, who were full of anticipation for his return, dug up an old video from his Dortmund days of him tearing apart Sergio Ramos and the Real Madrid defence.
It’s enough to get anyone excited for the prospect of him facing up with Jannik Vestergaard, that’s for sure. However, some Chelsea supporters cannot contain their excitement ahead of the forward’s return to the first team.
One fan posted a clip of Pulisic during his Dortmund days on Reddit, as a reminder of the winger’s talents.
The video was titled: ‘A Young Pulisic vs Sergio Ramos…can’t wait until he is fully fit,’ and showed highlights of Pulisic’s performance against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu in 2016, where he constantly tormented the then-European champions.
One reply below the video said: “One of the things I like about him is his first touch when receiving the ball. “It’s always so perfect to start a dribble straight away which makes him extremely direct.
“The moment after he receives the ball he is charging and this attracts more players to him thus giving others space.
“Love the fact we get to watch him weekly after Hazard spoiled us with his other worldly dribbling in the past few years.”
