Why Pedro Failed To Play Against Norwich City Revealed

Pedro watched from the stands as Chelsea beat Norwich 3-2 on Saturday.

The Spaniard was initially in the starting XI but sustained a hamstring injury in the warm-up at Carrow Road, forcing Chelsea boss Frank Lampard to change his starting line-up before kick-off.

Ross Barkley was brought in to replace Pedro.

Pedro wasn’t the only Chelsea player to miss the game against Norwich City to injury. N’Golo Kante, who was a fitness doubt heading into the top-flight encounter, was not included in the squad after failing to fully recover from an ankle injury.

Despite missing two important players, Chelsea got off to the perfect start as Tammy Abraham opened the scoring within three minutes.

Our lead lasted for just three minutes as Norwich City drew level through Todd Cantwell.

Mason Mount scored his second goal of the season to restore Chelsea’s lead in the 17th minute before Teemu Pukki equalised for the hosts on the half-hour mark. Abraham put the Blues back in front in the second half and that goal was enough to seal all three points for Chelsea.
