The Blues continue their preparation for Thursday’s Europa League clash.

1. Spirits appear to be high at Cobham

Despite the 6-0 thrashing at Manchester City on Sunday, the lads were all smiles in training. The players are looking to put the weekend humiliation behind them and deliver a good result in the Europa League.

2. Sarri looking forlorn

The Italian cut a lonely figure on Wednesday, staying far away from the action. Sarri is believed to be under a lot of pressure to secure Champions League football for Chelsea, and winning the Europa League might be the only way to achieve that.

3. Cahill working hard

The Chelsea captain has not played for the club since November. However, with the Blues conceding a whopping 10 goals in just 3 games, Sarri might want to use the veteran centre-back against Malmo on Thursday.

4. Higuain set for another start

Due to a change in UEFA rules, the Argentina striker is allowed to play for Chelsea in the Europa League despite featuring for AC Milan in the competition earlier this season. Hard at work at Cobham, the 31-year-old is likely to start on Thursday.

5. Hudson-Odoi all smiles

Callum Hudson-Odoi appeared to be in a good mood on Wednesday despite being left out of the matchday squad on Sunday. The 18-year-old is likely to be given a chance to impress against Malmo and the Academy prodigy is looking to stake his claim for a first-team spot.
